Things people ask

What does it cost?
Callboard is free while it's in early access. When paid plans launch, there will always be a free tier that covers a single production with the core features — feed, schedule, callsheets and notes. Larger companies running multiple shows a year will have paid options. Early access companies get grandfathered pricing.
Do my cast need to download an app?
No. Callboard works in any browser — send them a link and they're in. If they want it on their home screen it installs like a native app on both iPhone and Android, with push notifications. No app store required, though native apps are on the way.
Is our script safe to upload?
Scripts are stored privately and only accessible to members of your production. Access is revoked automatically when someone leaves the company. Files aren't publicly linkable and aren't shared between productions. You remain responsible for your own licensing agreements with rights holders.
Can we run more than one show at once?
Yes. Members can belong to multiple productions and switch between them. Each production has its own feed, schedule, library and company list — nothing leaks between shows. Useful if you've got a main-stage show and a youth production running in parallel.
What happens when the show closes?
You can close a production, which archives it. Your company members keep their accounts and move on to the next show. You can also permanently delete a production and everything in it if you'd rather not keep the records.
Who's building this?
Callboard is built by someone who's spent enough time in community theatre to be tired of the group chat. It's being developed alongside real productions, with features shaped by what companies actually ask for. If you've got a request, there's a good chance it ends up in the app.
